Job summary

CarePoint Response, Inc. in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Billing Specialist to support financial operations, billing, and accounts receivable for behavioral health crisis services. You will handle third‑party and medical billing, process authorizations, reconcile payments, and prepare financial reports.

The role requires 2–4 years in healthcare billing, with strong attention to payer requirements and documentation. Full-time, onsite schedule with a 8:00AM–4:00PM shifts, Sunday–Thursday.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in healthcare billing or related financial/administrative role.
• Experience with medical claims processing and insurance authorization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process, verify, and maintain service authorizations within the EHR for behavioral health and related services.
• Monitor authorization status and documentation requirements to ensure reimbursement.
• Complete billing and authorization activities including submission and denial resolution.
• Collaborate with ASOs, Medicaid managed care organizations, and other payers to resolve billing issues.
• Track authorization trends and generate reports for management.
