Job summary

Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches seeks a Program Billing Specialist to coordinate monthly billing for Residential Family Support, DCF, CBC contracts, and Medicaid services for youth in care. You will ensure AR reconciliation and entry of daily thrift store/vehicle sales for Sheriffs Ranches Enterprises, while supporting Medicaid billing and payments.

You will also maintain contracts, stay current on state contract changes, and back up accounts payable duties as needed, reporting to the Accounting

• Must have analytical, math, and grammar skills.
• Must read and interpret documents such as manuals.
• Must apply common sense to follow instructions.
• Must calculate figures and amounts using a ten-key calculator and formulas.
• Must write effectively and communicate in business writing.
• Must work in a technical and detailed environment.
• Must plan and organize work and meet deadlines.
• Must understand complex billing and reconciliation procedures.
• Must communicate with outside agencies (e.g., Medicaid).
• Must handle confidential information.
• Must have a valid Florida Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly billing for clients in DCF custody or receiving benefits and reconcile AR aging to GL.
• Prepare monthly aging report and perform follow-up on uncollected charges.
• Enter daily Thrift Store and Vehicle sales and related deposits.
• Backup Medicaid billing; reconcile Echo aging with FE accounts.
• Enter all accounts receivable deposits into the company bank accounts.
• Serve as backup for accounts payable duties as needed.
