IGS Energy is seeking a Billing Analyst to manage daily billing operations across various markets. This position involves ensuring accurate invoice generation per regulatory needs and requires strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and improve billing processes. IGS' billing team is searching for a talented professional to join the team as a Billing Analyst. The Billing Analyst will manage daily billing operations across multiple markets, ensuring the accurate and timely generation of invoices in accordance with customer contracts, billing cycles, and regulatory requirements. Analysts are expected to review complex data to troubleshoot issues and identify trends to proactively identify troubling scenarios. This role requires a data-driven mindset, attentive to operational accuracy and optimizing billing processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure all usage is rated timely and accurately.
Follow processes to efficiently and effectively administer utility files and direct bills.
Ensure customers are set up in accordance with contract and billing requirements.
Work billing signals and alerts.
Administer and audit budget plans.
Conduct quality assurance checks on invoices of all billing types.
Identify gaps in data process flow and react accordingly with emphasis on process improvement.
Provide support to sales departments through troubleshooting billing related issues and providing explanations to billing inquiries, escalating issues as necessary.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills:
Excellent organization and communication skills.
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Previous relevant experience with full ownership of end to end process.
Team player able to develop strong internal working relationships.
Proficient in MS office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software programs, including navigating several systems.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
2 years’ experience in a transaction processing operations or related environment is favorable.
