Job summary

Shanty Creek Resort in Bellaire, Michigan is seeking a Support Staff - Accounting Billing and Administration to join our on-site team. You will prepare and issue invoices for hotel, group, conference, and events, while ensuring accuracy of room charges, taxes, deposits, and related billing details.

You will collaborate with Sales, Reservations, Front Desk, and other departments to resolve discrepancies, post payments, and assist with aging and reporting.

Qualifications

• Billing and accounts receivable experience preferred.
• Experience in hotel or resort billing is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office and accounting software.
• Ability to review complex billing details accurately.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute invoices for hotel, group, and resort accounts.
• Review contracts, event orders, folios, and deposits before invoicing.
• Verify charges, taxes, deposits, and billing accuracy.
• Coordinate billing terms and contact information with departments.
• Identify missing or inconsistent data and follow up.
• Maintain customer profiles and billing documentation.
• Respond to customer questions about invoices and balances.
• Assist with reconciliations and month-end tasks.
