Socket.dev in Des Moines, IA, is seeking an Accounting/Billing Analyst to own day-to-day media and client billing, processing invoices, and ensuring the numbers behind client work are accurate and on time. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Finance.

You will partner with account and media teams, analyze data, prepare ad hoc reports, and look for process improvements. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify trends and issues.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues, clients, vendors, and outside consultants.
• Take-charge attitude with eagerness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Process media invoices.
• Download media invoices from vendor portals to upload into our media buying platform.
• Correspond with vendors and internal team members on concerns.
• Act as a liaison between the finance, account, and media teams.
• Analyze projects, work in process, accruals, media buys, and client billing.
• Partner with account team for client billing.
• Gather, analyze, process, summarize, and interpret data.
• Build relationships to help identify and solve problems.
• Provide ad hoc reports as requested by finance, account, or media teams.
• Proactively look for ways to improve processes.
• Support additional accounting and billing priorities as business needs evolve.
