Job summary

Career Group is seeking an experienced AR Biller for a growing skilled nursing and long-term care operator in Montebello, CA. The role offers uncapped quarterly bonuses and a chance to own the full AR process across multiple payers.

You will bill, follow up, post payments, reconcile accounts, and work closely with Business Office Managers to ensure timely cash flow. This onsite role offers remote flexibility after 90 days.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of billing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, Managed Care, and commercial payer billing.
• Ability to analyze aging reports and resolve balances.
• Independent worker with ability to manage deadlines across two facilities.
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Clear, professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Submit accurate, timely claims across all payer types.
• Manage full AR cycle: billing, follow-up, posting, reconciliation, and resolution.
• Perform census checks by verifying UB-04s, authorizations, payer portals, tracking logs.
• Monitor TAR/CCI, reauthorizations, unbilled lists, and Medicaid receipts.
• Post and reconcile cash, update cash logs, manage EFTs.
• Complete weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly billing and follow-up schedules.
• Support month-end close by verifying ancillaries, level of care, RUGs, DX codes, and authorizations.
• Consult regularly with Business Office Managers.

Our client, a growing skilled nursing and long-term care operator (SNF), is seeking an experienced AR Biller to join their team in Montebello, CA.

Responsibilities

• Submit accurate, timely claims across all payer types including Medicare, Medi-Cal, Managed Care, HMO, commercial, and more
• Manage the full AR cycle: billing, follow-up, payment posting, reconciliation, and resolution of every outstanding balance through corrected claims, appeals, adjustments, refunds, or write-offs
• Perform census management cross-checks by verifying UB-04s, authorizations, payer portals, and tracking logs prior to billing
• Monitor TAR/CCI files, reauthorizations, unbilled lists, and Medicaid cert receipts to ensure timely approvals and eligibility
• Post and reconcile cash, update cash logs, and manage EFTs across MRA, CCI, and HMO payers
• Complete weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly billing and follow-up schedules
• Support month-end close by verifying ancillaries, level of care, RUGs, DX codes, and authorizations
• Consult regularly with Business Office Managers

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• 1+ years of billing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility - hospital or clinic billing is not equivalent
• Working knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, Managed Care, and commercial payer billing requirements
• Ability to analyze aging reports and take ownership of every balance to resolution
• Comfortable working independently and managing competing deadlines across two facilities
• Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry
• Clear, professional communication
