Job summary

Behavioral Health Solutions of South Texas is seeking a dedicated Prevention Specialist to design and deliver engaging educational sessions for youth on substance misuse prevention, healthy decision-making, and life skills development.

You will also provide prevention education and outreach to the broader community by facilitating presentations and awareness initiatives that promote health, safety, and well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology/Sociology or equivalent.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of participants/professionals in English and Spanish.
• Travel required within service area and must have reliable transportation, and current TX driver's license with current liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver educational sessions for youth focused on substance misuse prevention, healthy decision-making, and life skills development.
• Provide prevention education and outreach to the broader community by facilitating presentations and awareness initiatives.
• Network with diverse community partners to promote health and well-being.
• Offer referrals and support services to youth participating in curriculum services.
