Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is seeking a Youth Worker/Transportation for La Jornada to support families served by NYAP. The role focuses on advocacy, building trust with youth, and helping families reach targeted goals.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, bilingual English/Spanish, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel frequently. Candidates should be patient, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to NYAP’s mission.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially with minors.
• Patience, empathy, and ability to provide emotional support to youths.
• Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency with office equipment and Microsoft Office suite.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Interact with youth to develop a trusting, supportive relationship while helping achieve identified goals.
• Provide youth with leadership and a warm, caring, safe atmosphere.
• Perform duties in alignment with NYAP mission and values.
• Complete required trainings and documentation in a timely manner.
• Travel frequently as program demands and drive program vehicle when needed.
