Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Youth Worker to advocate for families and support youth toward targeted goals within the NYAP framework.

Responsibilities include building trusting relationships, providing leadership, maintaining a safe environment, completing trainings, and documenting activities in a timely manner. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with youth.
• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency is required.
• Able to work in a dynamic nonprofit environment.

Responsibilities

• Interact with youth to develop trusting relationships and support identified goals.
• Provide leadership during the program and a warm, safe atmosphere.
• Perform duties consistent with NYAP mission and values.
• Complete trainings and required documentation promptly.
• Maintain positive attitude toward youth, families and staff.
• Travel as program needs require and report problems as needed.
