Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains is seeking chaplains to provide spiritual support to company employees and their families. The role includes regular visits to worksites, confidential pastoral discussions, and referrals for additional support, all conducted with Christian faith as the guiding framework.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary group and in an interfaith setting.
• Strong listening and communication skills with clients, employees and families.
• Spiritual maturity and commitment to Christian values and to MCHAP’s ministry.
• Diplomacy, patience and courtesy when dealing with diverse groups.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to handle confidential issues.
• Proficiency with Google Suites or Microsoft Office.
• Active state driver’s license and appropriate auto insurance where servicing clients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as messenger of faith, mission and purpose to employees and their families.
• Make regular site visits to interact with employees and build relationships of trust.
• Provide confidential pastoral discussions on personal issues as needed.
• Offer referrals and coordinate specialized assistance for employees and families.
• Assist in planning or conducting funerals and provide follow‑up support during grief periods.
