Job summary

Gulf Coast JFCS in Florida seeks a Wellness Specialist to deliver intensive case management for parents and caregivers of children in Hillsborough County. The role focuses on stabilizing placements and connecting families to services that enhance child safety and well-being.

You will provide crisis intervention, trauma-informed support, and referrals while documenting progress and supporting families through discharge and wraparound planning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus four (4) years of experience in human services.
• Bachelor's degree in a human service field preferred.
• A specialized certification may substitute for one year of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive case management services to parents and caregivers to stabilize placements.
• Provide crisis intervention to stabilize families and ensure child safety.
• Offer trauma-informed psychoeducation to help caregivers manage challenging child behavior.
• Refer and follow up for community services including counseling, housing, and employment.
• Complete intake documentation and monitor progress toward therapeutic goals.
• Support parents to cope with trauma and develop coping skills.
• Assess goals at discharge and connect families to wraparound services as needed.
• Attend meetings with families to advocate on their behalf.
• Provide on-call services per program policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
