Job summary

East Hartford Public Schools is seeking a Bilingual Tutor to support specialized instruction under the State Priority School District Grant.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree, direct classroom experience with Pre-K to 12 students, and bilingual English/Spanish proficiency; English/Spanish skills are preferred but not required. Responsibilities include small group instruction, monitoring homework centers, and collaboration with parents and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Direct classroom experience with children, Pre‑K to Twelve.
• Fluent in English and Spanish languages, both written and oral, preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance in basic skills.
• Conducts small group instruction.
• Monitors homework centers.
• Reinforces study and organizational skills.
• Interacts with parents, teachers and other support staff.
• Assists with conflict resolution and peer mediation sessions.
• Other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor of ESL/Bilingual or the building principal.
