Job summary

East Hartford Public Schools is seeking a Bilingual Tutor to support English and Spanish language learners in a K-12 setting. The role involves small-group tutoring, reinforcing study skills, and coordinating with teachers and families to promote student success.

Responsibilities include assisting with basic skills, monitoring homework centers, and supporting conflict resolution and classroom routines under the supervision of the ESL/Bilingual program lead and the building principal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher (required).
• Direct classroom experience with children, Pre-K to Twelve.
• Fluent in English and Spanish preferred but not required.

REPORTS TO

Building principal and/or K-12 Supervisor of World Languages, Gifted & Talented, ESL and Bilingual Programs

JOB GOAL

Provides support to specialized area of instruction as specified in the State of Connecticut Priority School District Grant

Performance Responsibilities

Terms Of Employment

• Daily hours: 6 hours/day
• Work period: Ten month/school year schedule
• Salary: Hourly
• Benefits: Medical only
