Job summary

East Hartford Public Schools in Los Angeles is seeking a part-time classroom support role to assist in basic skills and academic reinforcement. The position requires a Bachelor's Degree and direct classroom experience with children from pre-K to twelve.

Six hours per day, ten-month year, with medical benefits. Salary is paid hourly at a rate around the posted figure and eligible for evaluation under the district guidance.

REPORTS TO: Principal

JOB GOAL

Provides support to specialized area of instruction as specified in the State of Connecticut Priority School District Grant, i.e. dropout prevention, early childhood education and parent involvement. Areas of involvement are teacher directed student academic reinforcement activities, school homework program, testing, home/school relations, verbal and document translation, assisting suspended and expelled students, study and organizational skills, conflict resolution and peer mediation.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
