Job summary

DOVE Center is seeking a Bilingual Clinical Counselor (Spanish) to provide trauma-focused assessment and psychotherapy to individuals and families impacted by violence and abuse in Washington, UT. This role emphasizes Spanish-language delivery and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field required.
• Licensed as an LCSW or equivalent to practice independently; or CSW or equivalent to practice under supervision.
• Training/continuing education in interpersonal trauma, domestic and sexual violence preferred; crisis intervention training preferred.
• Spanish fluency (speaks and writes) required or strongly preferred.
• Experience with trauma/abuse survivors; knowledge in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of trauma.
• Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, Google Suite; proficient documentation in electronic records.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-focused therapy to primary and secondary survivors, individually or in groups.
• Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed.
• Conduct intake and trauma-sensitive assessments.
• Develop goals and treatment plans within 30 days; periodic reassessment.
• Maintain comprehensive client records and session notes; manage termination summaries.
• Participate in clinical meetings, case staffing and supervision.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary DOVE Center team.
• Assist in preparing counseling outcomes reports.
• Engage in staff trainings and cultural sensitivity development.
• For Child/Youth counseling: coordinate with parents on progress and safety.
