Job summary

Covenant House New Jersey is hiring a Resource Specialist to manage casework for survivors in our statewide anti-human trafficking program. You will coordinate core services, shelter referrals, and trauma‑informed supports across multiple New Jersey counties.

The role requires collaboration with law enforcement, on‑call availability, and reliable transportation. A Bachelor’s degree is required, with preferred experience in trafficking prevention and working with survivors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, public policy, or related field (required).
• Experience working in, with, or training law enforcement preferred.
• Knowledge of human trafficking and experience with survivors preferred.
• Valid NJ driver’s license with an insurable driving record; own vehicle required.
• Lived experience with trafficking and/or homelessness encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform case management for survivors in CHNJ’s statewide anti-human trafficking program.
• Provide trauma‑informed connections to services in geographic locations.
• Coordinate core services and emergency shelter referrals as needed.
• Build a resource directory in communities where survivors live.
• Travel statewide to counties listed and provide on‑site outreach during raids or investigations.
