Job summary

Acuity International provides compassionate, professional, trauma-informed care to families and unaccompanied children within government processing facilities. The Caregiver ensures daily needs are met, maintains a safe environment, and coordinates with personnel to resolve individual needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in childcare, healthcare, social services, or related field.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed caregiving principles.
• Ability to pass a government background investigation and obtain security clearances.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, respectful daily care to individuals and families.
• Assist with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming).
• Distribute and monitor meals and supplies while maintaining accountability.
• Monitor well-being and report medical or safety concerns.
• Provide trauma-informed care and emotional support.
• Document caregiver activities and welfare checks per policy.
• Maintain clean, sanitary living areas and assist with housekeeping.
• Coordinate with government personnel and medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Respond to emergencies following safety protocols.
