Job summary

The Learning Experience - River Vale, NJ is seeking an experienced and nurturing Bilingual Toddler Teacher who can communicate confidently in both English and Spanish. You will create a warm and engaging classroom where children can learn through play, exploration, movement, and meaningful interactions throughout the day.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous professional childcare, daycare, preschool, or toddler classroom experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish required.
• Experience working specifically with toddlers strongly preferred.
• Patient, nurturing, dependable, and energetic.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must meet applicable New Jersey childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging Toddler classroom.
• Communicate with children and families in both English and Spanish.
• Implement age-appropriate activities and The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
• Support language development, independence, and social-emotional growth.
• Engage children through art, music, movement, sensory play, and hands-on learning.
• Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions.
• Maintain consistent routines and positive classroom guidance.
• Observe children's development and support individual milestones.
• Build strong relationships with children and families.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.

Our toddlers are developing language, independence, confidence, and social skills at an incredible pace. You'll create a warm and engaging classroom where children can learn through play, exploration, movement, and meaningful interactions throughout the day.
