Job summary

Vaco by Highspring, a rapidly growing manufacturing business in San Antonio, seeks an HR Strategist and Technical Talent Acquisition Specialist to recruit and develop a technically skilled workforce while controlling labor costs. You will support the Plant Manager and HR Manager with talent strategies, workforce planning, and international recruitment when needed.

Fluent English and Spanish are required to effectively recruit and communicate with diverse teams, suppliers, and candidates,

Qualifications

• Experience recruiting for engineers, technicians and other technical roles.
• Ability to develop and maintain technical talent pipelines.
• Proven skills in manpower cost control without compromising staffing needs.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical manpower recruitment for engineers, technicians, skilled trades, maintenance and production.
• Develop and maintain strong technical talent pipelines.
• Develop manpower cost-control strategies without sacrificing staffing.
• Analyze manpower requirements, labor costs, overtime, turnover and recruiting costs.
• Source from direct hires, staffing agencies, colleges, internships, apprenticeships, and international recruiting.
• Support leadership with workforce planning and manpower decisions.
• Build relationships with local colleges and trade schools for internships and hiring.
• Monitor workforce trends and advise on cost-effective staffing strategies.
• Oversee sourcing, screening, interviewing and onboarding in English and Spanish.
