Job summary

UCLA Lab School is seeking an Assistant 1 to provide instructional and classroom support under supervision. You will supervise students during lunch, recess, field trips, and arrival/dismissal, while assisting teachers and administrative staff to implement the daily program.

The role requires bilingual Spanish/English abilities, experience with young learners, and the ability to work with diverse backgrounds in a collaborative school setting.

Qualifications

• Bilingual: Spanish/English reading, writing and speaking.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and staff.
• Experience creating a positive educational environment.
• Experience with children in pre-K to 6th grade.
• Ability to organize classroom materials and follow schedules.
• Knowledge of core subjects for pre-K to 6.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and classroom support to assist teachers.
• Supervise students during non-instructional times (lunch, recess, field trips, arrival/dismissal).
• Collaborate with staff to implement the daily educational program.
• Assist office staff and teachers with non-instructional tasks.
