Job summary

YMCA is seeking a dedicated Swim Lessons Instructor to deliver engaging, safe swimming instruction with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Lesson plans are provided, and organizers must be prepared to relate well to participants, parents and staff.

A +10% bilingual differential applies to staff fluent in Spanish and English. Benefits include free family membership, program discounts, retirement benefits, EAP, paid sick time, and childcare benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching swim lessons is preferred but not required.
• Proficient swimming and water safety/rescue skills.
• Blood Borne Pathogens Training within 30 days of hire.
• YMCA and Red Cross Water Safety Instructor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead swim lessons with enthusiasm and positive attitude.
• Follow provided lesson plans and adapt as needed.
• Relate positively to participants, staff, and parents.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
