Job summary

YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking a Swim Lessons Instructor to deliver engaging, safe swim instruction. Must be available Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings in June and July.

A +10% differential is offered for bilingual staff fluent in Spanish and English. Training in Blood Borne Pathogens is required within 30 days of hire, and current or prior YMCA/Red Cross water-safety credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient swimming and safety/rescue skills.
• Blood Borne Pathogens Training within 30 days of hire.
• YMCA Swimming Lessons Instructor and Red Cross Water Safety Instructor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Swim Instructors are enthusiastic and portray a positive attitude.
• Relate positively to a variety of people including other staff, parents, and program participants.
• Instructors must be organized, and eager to teach (lesson plans provided).
• Other duties as assigned.
