Job summary

Granger School District is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide instructional continuity by implementing prepared lessons and maintaining a safe learning environment within grades served by Granger, WA. The substitute will assist with student supervision and follow district policies and routines.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), and a valid Washington State Teaching Certificate or willingness to obtain an Emergency Substitute Certificate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must hold a valid Washington State Teaching Certificate or willingness to obtain an Emergency Substitute Certificate.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise students and implement lesson plans.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and collaboration with staff, parents, and administrators.
• Ability to adapt to multiple grade levels and classroom environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans and activities provided by the regular teacher.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive classroom environment.
• Follow classroom routines, procedures, and district policies.
• Supervise students in various school areas and take attendance as required.
• Communicate with staff about student progress and concerns.
• Leave written notes for the regular classroom teacher regarding lessons and student behavior.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and district information.
• Be flexible with different grade levels and instructional settings.
• Use classroom technology and district resources appropriately.
• Report accidents, safety concerns, or emergencies promptly.
