Job summary

Magellan International School (MIS) is hiring Bilingual (English & Spanish) Substitute Teachers who may work across Preschool, Primary, or Secondary campuses. Assignments vary from covering Lead Teachers or Specialists to supporting as Teaching Assistants.

Location: Austin, TX, USA. Openings: Multiple positions. Salary is a daily rate; on-call and not eligible for benefits. Availability: 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekend events.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
• Experience working with children in a school setting is required or preferred.
• Basic computer skills for classroom operations and clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and assistants with classroom activities and materials.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization to support routines.
• Supervise students during lessons, lunch, recess, and carline as needed.
• Enforce classroom rules and provide care and supervision to individuals and groups.
• Support school operations with clerical tasks and supplies distribution.
• Follow schedules and adapt to varying classroom needs with minimal direction.
