Job summary

The Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a compassionate Bilingual Substance Use Counselor to join the Behavioral Medicine team. This full-time, onsite role offers counseling, treatment planning, and recovery support for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required. The position includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus, with additional compensation for licensed counselors per union scales.

Responsibilities

Provide individual counseling and facilitate group counseling sessions.
Conduct intake assessments, biopsychosocial evaluations, and ongoing client assessments.
Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
Provide counseling and recovery support in both English and Spanish.
Coordinate referrals, discharge planning, and aftercare services.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other treatment team members.
Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain clinical documentation in EHR.
