Job summary

Healthcare Alternative Systems, Inc in Chicago seeks a Substance Use Counselor to provide individual and group counseling, conduct ASAM assessments, and develop personalized treatment plans. The role includes off-site community services and coordination with referral sources.

You will work under the Program Manager, maintain accurate records in the EHR, and participate in weekly clinical staffing. A CADC and bilingual English/Spanish, with two years of counseling experience, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required, knowledge of substance abuse treatment modalities.
• Must have knowledge of ASAM criteria and DSM V diagnosis.
• Knowledge of DHS regulations and CARF.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to participants.
• Conduct ASAM-based assessments and formulate treatment plans.
• Maintain progress notes and clinical records in the EHR.
• Perform DUI services, random breathalyzers, and drug tests.
• Complete weekly reports and participate in clinical staffing.
• Coordinate with case workers and referral sources.
• Orient new participants with warm handoffs.
• Ensure compliance with agency standards.
