Job summary

APM in Philadelphia seeks a qualified Drug & Alcohol Counselor for a fee-for-service position with potential to convert to full-time. You will provide counseling, complete intake and treatment plans, and coordinate care with psychiatrists and other providers.

Must hold CAC/CDAC, ASAM training, and be bilingual. Strong documentation and group therapy experience required. This role supports community services and offers benefits if converted to full-time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field with a minimum of 1-year work experience.
• CAC, CDAC licensed or qualified.
• Completed ASAM training.
• Trained in Motivational Interviewing.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Proficiency in the DAP documentation.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word.
• Experience in facilitating group therapy.
• Working with medication managed populations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling services to members in Drug & Alcohol program.
• Complete Intake, treatment plans, evaluations and discharges on time as prescribed.
• Provide Individual and group therapies consistently and family therapy when needs.
• Coordinate with Septa logistics care for bus passes and with Psychiatrist for evaluations.
• Ensure all documentation and data are complete and in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain a caseload deemed appropriate and participate in team meetings.
