Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) is hiring a Student Support Specialist to be placed at a San Pablo elementary school. The role focuses on 1:1 tutoring and small-group interventions to promote academic success, positive behavior, and social-emotional skill-building.

The SSS reports to the Community School Director and is part of the site wellness team. Spanish/English bilingual abilities are preferred, with a pay rate of $27/hour for part-time, 24 hours/week, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school setting.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate small group academic interventions based on identified needs.
• 1:1 tutoring.
• Help students focus on and participate in instructional activities while in the classroom.
• Support site as needed with other academic assessments or interventions.
