Holyoke Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional - Student Support at Peck Middle School in Holyoke, MA. The role supports the Dean of Students and Student Support Coordinator in managing student behavior, attendance, and school culture to foster a positive learning environment.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of experience with at-risk youth, and preferably an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Salary ranges from $18.50 to $23.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1-3 years experience working with at-risk youth preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing district behavior policies under the guidance of the Dean of Students and Student Support Coordinator.
• Support development and maintenance of behavior plans for students needing additional support.
• Supervise students during breakfast, lunch, transitions and dismissal.
• Assist in tracking student attendance and communicating with families about attendance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of student behavior, interventions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with FACE Coordinator to engage families and develop partnerships.
