Talpa Supermarkets is seeking an experienced Store Operations Manager (Bilingual) to lead all store operations, drive profitability, and deliver an outstanding customer experience. This senior on-site leader will oversee every department, build high-performing teams, and ensure compliance with food safety and company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of grocery or retail management experience across multiple departments.
• Strong leadership, operational and financial management skills.
• Experience with inventory control, labor management, and P&L accountability.
• Ability to manage multiple departments in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Bilingual Spanish/English required; flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily multi-department operations including grocery, produce, meat, bakery, tortillería, ice cream shop, restaurant, frontend, and receiving.
• Ensure execution of standards for quality, service, cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as sales, shrink, labor, and profitability.
• Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, vendor relations, invoicing, and cycle counts.
• Oversee pricing, promotions, signage, discounts, and merchandising.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop department managers and store associates.
• Create and manage labor schedules; balance service levels with labor cost control.
• Conduct performance evaluations and corrective actions per policy.
• Foster a high-performance, accountable, and engaged culture; lead by example.
• Drive customer service excellence and resolve escalated issues; build community relations.
• Manage store budget and P&L in partnership with corporate leadership; provide reports.
