Store Associate Job Description

Store associates work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend suitable solutions. They are responsible for resolving customer concerns promptly to ensure maximum satisfaction, staying updated on product features, and maintaining high standards of quality and visual presentation in the store. The role emphasizes delivering excellent customer service while consistently meeting sales goals.

Location and Compensation

The selected individual will work at Store #701120, located at: 3227 Morse Road, Columbus, OH 43231.

This is a part-time position with a starting rate of $13.75/hr.

Additional Considerations

Job duties involve contact with customers, including minors, and access to cash, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other valuables. The company conducts criminal history reviews to ensure safety and protect its operations and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
2. Assist customers in person and over the phone by identifying needs and recommending products.
3. Build trustful relationships with customers.
4. Accurately process sales transactions according to policies.
5. Achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
6. Maintain accurate work order files and formulas.
7. Pull products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed.
8. Tint and mix products per customer specifications.
9. Stock shelves and set up displays.
10. Clean store equipment.
11. Assist in loading/unloading delivery trucks and making deliveries, as needed.
12. Maintain a neat and stocked environment.
13. Stay knowledgeable about products and discuss options with customers.
14. Follow inventory control procedures.
15. Suggest sales improvements.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Proficient in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Able to retrieve and lift materials up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations.
• Willing to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
• High School diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
• Experience selling paint and related products.
• Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
