Job description

Store associates work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the right solutions. Store associates are also expected to promptly resolve any customer concerns and ensure maximum client satisfaction, stay up-to-date with product features, and maintain the high quality and visual standards of the products and store. They are tasked with achieving excellent customer service while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other items of value. Access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company reviews criminal history to protect the business, its operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.

The individual selected for this role will work at Store #1194 located at 3054 John R, Rochester Hills, MI 48307.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English and Spanish
• Must be able to retrieve materials from shelves and lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
• High School diploma or GED
• At least one year experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
• Experience selling paint and related products
• Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
