Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric home health services in the Terrell area. The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, a completed CF year (CCC-SLP), and Texas licensure.

Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred, with experience in pediatrics and home health valued. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and treat children 0–21 years old, delivering services in home settings or day facilities,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University.
• CCC-SLP fellowship completed.
• Texas license to practice Speech-Language Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21 years, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Define degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and fluency impairments using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan goals and train team in speech therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan and modify care to meet therapy goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• Possibly supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants with 3+ years of experience.

• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
