Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Garland, TX seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide skilled therapy in patients' homes or daytime facilities, for ages 0–21, with at least two visits weekly.

Candidates must hold a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, be CCC-SLP, and be licensed in Texas; bilingual in Spanish is required. Pediatric experience and home health background are preferred traits.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University.
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP.
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0–21 years old, 2+ visits per week, per physician orders.
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient and advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed materials/resources and in-service programs.
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or SLP Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience.
