Job summary

North-Texas-Therapy-and-Home-Care in Wylie, TX seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver pediatric services in patients' homes or daytime facilities. The role requires CFY completion, Texas licensure, and bilingual Spanish skills.

You will assess and treat ages 0–21, collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, educate families, and support staff. Prior home health and pediatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University.
• CCC-SLP / Clinical Fellowship Year completion.
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Texas.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0–21 years, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairments by selecting and administering testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and to instruct team in speech therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers and patients by designing and delivering training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows and/or SLPA if three or more years of experience.

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
