Job summary

The Valley View School District 365-U is seeking a part-time Bilingual (Spanish) Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year to support Spanish-speaking students with IEP-directed services, screenings, and assessments.

The ideal candidate holds Illinois licensure in Speech-Language Pathology, can develop and implement IEPs, and communicate effectively with families, staff, and students while adapting materials for bilingual learners.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Teaching Licensure in Speech Language Pathology.
• Experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist is preferred.
• Ability to write and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEPs).
• Ability to evaluate and interpret results for bilingual (Spanish) assessments.
• Excellent communication skills with students, teachers, parents and student resource team, and a willingness to spend time to assure that such communication takes place.
• Ability to provide help in modifying instructional materials for students assigned to his/her classroom.
• Experience communicating with bilingual (Spanish) families verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide consult, integrated, and direct services to bilingual Spanish-speaking students as outlined in each IEP.
• Conduct screenings and assessments as part of the IEP/evaluation process.
