Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Texas is seeking a bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to provide skilled services in patients' homes or daytime facilities, per physician orders.

We require TX SLPA licensure, 6 months of full-time clinical experience, pediatric exposure, and prefer home-health background. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, schedule supervision, and contribute to high-quality patient care. Comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required for patient communication.
• Current Texas SLPA licensure is required.
• Minimum 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience is required.
• Home Health experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions per physician orders.
• Delivers services in the patient's home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visits with supervising SLP per Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan patient goals.
• Plans care to meet speech therapy goals.
• Keeps up to date with knowledge through education and professional networks.
• Enhances the department by taking ownership of new requests and adding value.

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
