Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Crandall, TX, is seeking a bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support pediatric patients in home health settings. The role requires Texas SLPA licensure and 6 months of full-time clinical experience, with pediatrics experience preferred.

Responsibilities include delivering therapy under physician orders, coordinating with the supervising SLP, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet patient goals.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Current Texas SLPA licensure required.
• Minimum 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services in line with physician orders.
• Delivers speech therapy in the patient's home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visits with supervising SLP per Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and meet patient goals.
• Plans care to meet speech therapy goals.
• Updates knowledge through education, reading publications, networking, and professional organizations.
• Enhances reputation by ownership of new requests and adding value.

• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
