Job summary

North-Texas-Therapy-and-Home-Car in Garland, TX seeks a bilingual English/Spanish SLPA to provide skilled speech therapy services under physician orders in patients' homes or daytime facilities.

The position requires Texas SLPA licensure, 6 months of full-time clinical experience, and pediatrics experience. Home health experience is preferred. You will collaborate with the care team, schedule supervision, and pursue ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Current Texas SLPA licensure.
• At least 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience required.
• Home Health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions per physician orders.
• Serves patients in their home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visits with supervising SLP per Texas guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan patient goals.
• Plans care to meet speech therapy goals.
• Keeps current knowledge through education, reading, and professional involvement.
• Seeks to add value by taking on new requests and opportunities.

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
