Job summary

Rehab at Home Healthcare Services in Texas seeks a licensed Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our home-based care team. The role involves delivering interventions under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist, with emphasis on pediatric populations; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Candidates should have a TX license, a degree from an accredited SLPA program, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Speech Language Pathology Assistant program.
• Licensed in Texas as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of interventions as outlined in the individualized plan of care determined by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist.
• Conduct individual or group treatment sessions of speech/language and oral motor development, and consult with other staff and the child’s caregivers.
• Complete documentation to support the delivery of Speech Therapy services.
• Measure performance and report on patient’s medical record.
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards.
• Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge.

Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• License from the State of Texas as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
• Experience in the home care setting is preferred but not required.
• Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
• Bilingual required (English & Spanish) preferred but not required
