Sela Public Charter School in Washington, DC seeks a Special Education Teacher to serve as case manager and instructor in our 50/50 English-Hebrew immersion model, delivering SDI and IEP-driven support. You will collaborate with Hebrew and English teachers, lead IEP meetings, monitor progress, and implement interventions to help students access grade-level content in both languages.

Experience with IDEA/FERPA compliance and family communication is required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience with IEP development and meetings; ability to collaborate across language departments.
• Strong knowledge of special education practices and evidence-based instructional strategies.
• Ability to modify curricula for dual-language learners and document progress.

Aufgaben

• Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs and coordinate IEP meetings with families, clinicians, and administrators.
• Design lesson plans that adapt standards for diverse learners in a dual-language setting.
• Analyze assessment data to tailor interventions and advocate for student needs during IEP meetings.
• Provide RTI-based literacy and math interventions and monitor progress to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with Hebrew immersion and English teachers to ensure consistent accommodations and instructional strategies.
• Maintain compliance with IDEA, FERPA, and DC policies.
