Clarvida is seeking a Bilingual Spanish Peer Support Specialist in California to provide recovery-oriented peer services in community and program settings. The role emphasizes advocacy, mentoring, and collaboration with the treatment team to support client outcomes.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid CA driver’s license, and a Peer Specialist Certificate; bilingual Spanish proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• Lived experience as a consumer of mental health services or as a support person.
• Valid California driver's license and active auto insurance.
• Peer Specialist Certificate required.
• Knowledge of community resources and peer support practices.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time.
• Basic to intermediate computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentoring and peer support to consumers in community and program settings.
• Assist clients in developing daily living skills and accessing resources.
• Transport clients as needed (personal vehicle required).
• Provide advocacy, coordination, and side-by-side support.
• Support clients in problem-solving and recovery goals.
• Coordinate social and group activities and collaborate with team.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with standards.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and professional boundaries.
• Participate in program activities and perform other duties.
