Job summary

Clarvida is seeking a Bilingual Spanish Peer Support Specialist in California to provide recovery-oriented, mentoring and advocacy services. The role collaborates with treatment teams to promote client outcomes and supports daily living skills in community and program settings.

Responsibilities include facilitating group activities, documenting progress, and upholding HIPAA and professional standards while using lived experience to guide support and care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Peer Specialist Certificate required.
• Lived experience as a consumer of mental health services or as a support person to someone receiving services.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• Valid California driver’s license and active auto insurance
• Prior behavioral health experience preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources and peer support practices.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time.
• Basic to intermediate computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentoring, encouragement, and peer support to consumers in community and program settings.
• Assist clients in developing daily living skills and accessing essential resources.
• Transport clients as needed to support community engagement (use of personal vehicle required).
• Provide advocacy, coordination, and individualized side-by-side support.
• Support clients in problem-solving and achieving personal recovery goals.
• Coordinate and facilitate social and group activities as assigned.
• Collaborate with team members to support treatment goals and provide insight from lived experience.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and professional boundaries.
• Participate in program activities and perform additional duties as assigned.
