Job summary

Clarvida is seeking a Bilingual Spanish Peer Support Specialist in California to provide recovery-oriented mentorship and advocacy to clients in community and program settings. This full-time role emphasizes lived experience and collaboration with the treatment team.

The position requires a Peer Specialist Certificate, Spanish fluency, and a valid California driver’s license, with compensation of $25/hour. Medical, dental, and vision insurance and additional benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Peer Specialist Certificate required.
• Lived experience as a consumer of mental health services or as a support person.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• Valid California driver’s license and active auto insurance.
• Prior behavioral health experience preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources and peer support practices.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time.
• Basic to intermediate computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentoring and peer support to consumers in community and program settings.
• Assist clients in developing daily living skills and accessing resources.
• Transport clients as needed to support community engagement (uses personal vehicle).
• Provide advocacy, coordination, and side-by-side support.
• Support clients in problem-solving and recovery goal achievement.
• Coordinate and facilitate social and group activities.
• Collaborate with team to support treatment goals and share lived experience insights.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with standards.
• Ensure HIPAA, ethical standards, and professional boundaries.
• Participate in program activities and perform additional duties as assigned.
