Job summary

Dakota County Parks is seeking temporary Bilingual Spanish Outreach Assistants to support community engagement and increase awareness of Dakota County Parks, especially in underrepresented communities. The role involves event coordination, material handling, and on-site interpretation and translation.

The position runs December 2026 through March 2027, 10–20 hours per week, with a flexible weekday evening and weekend schedule.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish with strong communication, translation and interpretation skills.
• Two years of work or volunteer experience in outreach, program or event support focused on diverse communities.
• Either two years of related experience OR one year of coursework plus one year of outreach experience.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Parks Outreach Coordinator on a variety of projects to boost engagement, awareness and visitation.
• Prepare, stage and move program materials; provide in-person outreach at events.
• Coordinate small to medium events and support large special events.
• Provide Spanish language interpretation and written translation as needed.
