Job summary

Morrow County Public Health is seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator to provide bilingual health outreach, client navigation, interpretation, health education, and administrative support across programs.

Under supervision, the role engages with Spanish-speaking community members across clinics, schools, and partner sites, helping access to services while maintaining confidentiality and coordinating care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience delivering interpretation or translation in health settings preferred.
• Experience in health education, outreach, or client navigation desirable.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required for effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate verbal interpretation and translated materials between English and Spanish.
• Support clinics with interpretation during Family Planning and other services.
• Assist clients in navigating Public Health programs and connecting to resources.
• Coordinate with Public Health staff for appointment communications and access to care.
• Conduct community outreach and health promotion activities.
• Deliver culturally appropriate health education to individuals and groups.
• Act as liaison to strengthen communication and trust with Spanish-speaking community members.
• Participate in outreach events, health fairs, and community activities.
• Complete forms, documentation, referrals, and administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with privacy requirements.
