Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking an HR Manager to lead all human resources activities for our manufacturing facility. You will partner with plant leadership to attract, develop, engage, and retain talent while ensuring compliance, safety, and an inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities include employee relations, payroll support, onboarding, training, reporting, and coordination with recruiting. You will support multiple sites in the USA, handle union-related matters where applicable, and

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's preferred in HR or related field.
• 3+ years HR Generalist experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Federal/State HR laws.
• Strong conflict resolution and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day employee relations and performance counseling.
• Assures fair and consistent administration of HR policies and practices.
• Resolves employee concerns within the location(s) supported.
• Promotes engagement and morale through clear communication of programs.
• Implements HR and employee relations programs.
• Partners with management on policies, procedures, laws and regulations.
• Supports payroll, time/attendance, PTO, and benefits administration.
• Delivers onboarding and training programs.
• Maintains HRIS records and reports.
• Supports recruiting: posting, screening, interviews coordination.
• May investigate employee issues; may handle grievance investigations.
• Collaborates with Operations/EHS on Workers' Compensation investigations.

The HR Manager leads all human resources activities for the manufacturing facility, partnering with plant leadership to attract, develop, engage, and retain talent while ensuring compliance, promoting a safe and inclusive workplace, and supporting operational performance through effective people strategies and employee relations programs

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day employee relations and performance counseling.
• Assures fair and consistent administration of all human resources policies and practices.
• Resolves any employee concerns or issues within the location(s) they support.
• Ensures strong communication of all employee programs in an effort to increase employee engagement and morale.
• Implements programs related to human resources and employee relations
• Partners with management in communicating various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and governmental regulations.
• Helps Frontline Leaders administer payroll processing, time and attendance recording, paid time off benefits, processing company compensation and benefits programs.
• Delivers and administrates training programs
• Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment or any other HR related policies and procedures.
• Conducts new hire orientation and any other necessary on-boarding activities.
• Maintains accurate records within HRIS system and prepares any necessary reports.
• In conjunction with the Recruiting team, performs recruitment activities which include posting open positions, reviewing resumes, screening applicants as well as setting up/coordinating any interviews with hiring manager as needed.
• May be involved in investigating employee related issues and/or concerns.
• In partnership with Operations/EHS team may be involved with Workers Compensation Investigation process and administration.
• Ability to support multiple sites in the USA, both in person and remotely.
• If site is Unionized, ability to administer rules of the CBA. Would also sit in on negotiations and would handle any grievance investigations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by HR Director.

Requirements

• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
• 3+ years HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Demonstrated ability to model leadership behaviors on a continual basis, partnering with business leaders in a dynamic business setting
• Knowledge of Federal/State laws as they pertain to human resources administration.
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills
• Good organizational, planning and follow up skills
• Ability to travel as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended period.
• Ability to lift up to 35lbs occasionally.
• Ability to wear all required PPE when on the shop floor: for example hearing protection, steel toe shoes/boots, gloves etc.
• When on the floor ability to be in a non-climate-controlled environment where temperatures can be 90+ degrees.
• When on the floor ability to be in an environment that has various smells.
• The shop floor environment can be noisy.

Salary

The salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000 per year. The salary offered depends on the candidates' experience, work location, skills, etc.
