Job summary

The Benton Community School District is seeking a Spanish Interpreter to support language needs for students and families. This on‑call role may assist with parent/teacher conferences, school events, or translating written documents.

The interpreter will provide oral interpretation, translate communications, and maintain confidentiality while collaborating with staff to ensure families receive timely, clear information.

Responsibilities

• Provide oral interpretation during parent/teacher conferences, school events, and meetings.
• Assist Spanish-speaking families during student registration and enrollment processes.
• Translate school communications, letters, and forms from English to Spanish (and vice versa), as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and family information at all times.
• Communicate in a professional, culturally sensitive, and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure families receive timely and understandable information.
