Job summary

SOSi is seeking qualified Spanish interpreters to join our Tucson, AZ team in a call/contact center style environment. The interpreter will provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation between Spanish and English, including over-the-phone and video remote interpreting for LEP individuals.

The role requires interpreting in a judicial context with knowledge of terminology, high fluency in both languages, and the ability to maintain tone and pace.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of interpreting experience in a judicial environment.
• Must have legal ability to work in the U.S.
• Proficient in English and Spanish and familiar with formal, consultative, and casual registers used in justice system contexts.

Responsibilities

• Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation between Spanish and English.
• Provide over-the-phone and video remote interpreting for LEP individuals as required.
• Perform sight translation of written material when needed.
• Quality control review of translated documents as required.
