SOSi in Raleigh, NC seeks qualified Spanish interpreters to support call-center type operations by providing language interpretation. The role involves consecutive and simultaneous interpretation between Spanish and English, over-the-phone and video remote interpreting for LEP individuals, sight translation, and quality control of translations.

Candidates should have at least one year of judicial-interpretation experience, be legally eligible to work in the United States, and command vocabulary

Formación

• Minimum one year of interpreting in a judicial environment.
• Legal ability to work in the U.S.
• Fluency in English and Spanish with justice system terminology and regional language usage.
• Knowledge of English and Spanish legal and criminal justice terminology and immigration procedures.
• Ability to interpret in consecutive, simultaneous, and sight translation with accuracy.

Responsabilidades

• Provides consecutive and simultaneous interpretation between Spanish and English.
• Provides over-the-phone and video remote interpreting for LEP individuals as required.
• Performs sight translation of written documents.
• Provides quality control review of translated documents as required.
• Performs other duties as required.
